The television channel Ryan Reynolds will premiere new episodes of the sitcom “Alf”

Date: September 7, 2024 Time: 16:41:29

The Maximum Effort television channel, owned by Ryan Reynolds, will release new episodes of the cult sitcom Alf. The last few episodes will be produced in collaboration with streaming service Fubo, Paul Fusco, and production company Shout! studies Deadline reports.

The launches will be promotional, each sponsored by brands like Mint Mobile, Hims and MNTN. The video will re-introduce Alf, a funny alien who became the central character of the sitcom that ran from 1986 to 1990. The first series of mini-shows will be shown on July 29.

“At Maximum Effort, we love to take risks and blur the lines between shows and sponsored content because we believe that both can be equally entertaining,” said Reynolds.

The actor-producer added that one of the reasons for the revival of “Alpha” was his “personal irrational love for “Alpha” in childhood.” Another was the disposition of the partners, Fusco himself and Shout! studios to work together to bring the show back. On July 29, Maximum Effort will host a telethon of old Alpha episodes, as well as a podcast Podcats: The Pawdcast.

Ryan Reynolds is set to produce a Rocker Mice from Mars reboot. The pilot will be directed by Brian Faulk-Weiss. We talk about it in more detail here.
