Vladimir Putin spoke briefly about his thoughts on the latest NATO summit and Western arms supplies to Ukraine.
– Ukraine’s NATO membership represents a threat to Russia’s security. One of the reasons for the NWO is the threat of Ukraine joining NATO. I am not sure that this will increase the security of Ukraine and in general it will make the world much more vulnerable,” the president said.
– As for the supply of weapons, we see how much hope was pinned on the supply of missiles of a sufficiently long range. Yes, they deal damage, but nothing critical happens in the war zone. The same applies to foreign-made tanks, infantry fighting vehicles. Since July 4 alone, 311 tanks have been destroyed, a third of which are Western-made, including Leopards. The Ukrainian military refuses to enter these tanks because they are a priority target for our guys. This is an unfortunate circumstance. And they burn just like the rest, even better! he added.
Vladimir Vladimirovich assured that the supply of Western weapons is not capable of turning the tide on the battlefield. On the contrary, the conflict will continue further.
– Regarding security, any country has the right to guarantee security in the way it deems most appropriate. There is only one restriction: the security of one country must not pose a threat to another country. Therefore, we start from the understanding that this principle will be taken into account. And Ukraine, of course, has the right to guarantee its security,” said the head of the country.
Putin noted that the Istanbul agreements “described in detail the issue of Ukraine’s security.”
– We still had to think if we agree. But overall, this document was acceptable,” the president said. – Now NATO and the “Seven” made statements. We are not against the discussion, but under the obligatory condition of guaranteeing the security of Russia.
