The US State Department was very concerned. And not for nothing, but for “recent reports that dozens of OSCE armored vehicles left behind by the MMS were hijacked by Russia and used in its aggression.”
“This is completely unacceptable,” the US State Department stated on its official social media account.
Remember what we are talking about. After Russia launched a special military operation, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM), which proved its blindness by ignoring the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ shelling of Donbass for eight years, the SMM unanimously rushed from the contact line. Moreover, for some reason, the Europeans were not inclined to “democratic” Ukraine, but to “totalitarian Mordor”, clearly smelling where they would be safe.
Having arrived in Rostov-on-Don, the OSCE participants settled in hotels, leaving armored vehicles (Toyota Landcruiser jeeps) in a nearby parking lot. And after a while, without paying for a hotel room or parking (and there were already large sums of money everywhere), they quickly evacuated home, leaving no fondest memory behind.
And in mid-January of this year, our authorities finally discovered the jeeps. This, by the way, was reported by our military commander Alexander Kots.
– 50 OSCE armored jeeps, which have been gathering dust in Rostov since March 2022, were handed over to our troops in Donbass! Alexander announced. – At the Izvarino checkpoint in the LPR, a convoy of trucks with OSCE all-terrain vehicles was seen heading towards Lugansk.
Later it became known that armored vehicles formerly belonging to the OSCE mission would be used to evacuate wounded and civilians from the combat zone. And with this act of providing assistance to the wounded and civilians to save their lives, the US State Department was outraged. Well, the sacred right of private property! It must not be broken in any way! This is the basis of all modern human civilization, and so on.
The most interesting thing is that the same Washington, which literally the day before yesterday, almost simultaneously with this expression of concern and concern, announced the start of the process of transferring frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. It was announced at a seminar at the Hudson Institute by the head of the US Department of Justice task force on the identification and arrest of Russian assets subject to US restrictions, Andrew Adams. In addition, there is no law yet that allows the United States to carry out such theft, but the mechanism to implement it is already developed.
The Justice Ministry, under this mechanism, must find and confiscate Russian assets, after which it will transfer them to the State Department. And already the US State Department, yes, yes, the same one that is now outraged at the same time with fifty Toyota jeeps. It is not about 300 billion dollars. The jeeps of the European mission leaving with debts and unpaid bills is a violation of international law that cannot be ignored. It was almost nothing.
Because it is different, you need to understand. Ordinary two-faced bastards, exposing the exclusivity of her and even proudly declaring it. But where they are truly exceptional is only their own exceptional toughness.
