Canadian artist The Weeknd has shared a video for the song “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength).” The song appears on the soundtrack to the new James Cameron film Avatar: The Way of the Water. Hypebeast writes about it.

Video directed by Quentin Deronzier. The video showed views of the planet Pandora, where the events of the film take place, and its inhabitants, the Na’vi people. The singer himself appears several times.

On the song “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)”, The Weeknd worked with production trio Swedish House Mafia and songwriter Simon Franglen. The single premiered on December 15, 2022. It has already been shortlisted for the Oscars for Best Original Song.

Avatar: The Way of the Water is a sequel to the 2009 film, in which Sam Worthington returns as Jake Sully, who has become the leader of the Omaticaya tribe. More than a decade after the first film was released, viewers will see Jake and his family face off against a returning ancient threat that could lead to war with humans.

Recall, James Cameron confirmed that the fourth and fifth parts will be released. He discussed the plans on the HBO Max show “Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace?” Cameron’s decision was influenced by the commercial success of the second film in the franchise.
