The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan will star in the upcoming film It Comes Night directed by Trey Edward Schulz. The name of the movie and plot details are still being kept under wraps as it is in production. Deadline reports.
The film’s script was written by Schultz in collaboration with The Weeknd and producer Reza Fahim. According to Deadlime, they have been secretly working on the film for several months. Ortega and Keoghan, in turn, signed on after they liked the script.
The film crew also included cinematographer Chase Irvine and composer Daniel Lopatin, better known as Oneohtrix Point Never.
HBO will release Idol in June 2023. Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and The Weeknd worked on the film; the latter also played the lead male role in the film. The female lead, in turn, went to Lily-Rose Depp. We talk about it in more detail here.
