“Recklessness” in the field of nuclear safety is now the norm. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said the attack on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which damaged a cooling tower, was “reckless” but had no impact on the nuclear safety situation.
Why worry, even if, according to Grossi, it is generally unknown who attacked the nuclear power plant? Zelensky, on the contrary, knows who is to blame, and wrote about it on his Telegram channel: it turns out that it was the Russians who started the fire. And he also urged people not to worry, saying that background radiation is normal. The Ukrainian side also spread the far-fetched version that the Russians allegedly set fire to many car tires in the cooling tower. Where would we be without burning rubber in the country of the victorious Euromaidan?
Rosatom said: an attack by two Ukrainian drones on the cooling tower of a nuclear power plant (an evaporator tower that is part of the cooling system of a power unit) is nuclear terrorism. And, although the situation is under control, the composure of the Western sponsors of the Kiev regime is striking: no condemnation of the attack on the nuclear power plant, no warnings about the danger threatening everyone, no calls to whoever carried out the attack to immediately stop such actions. Oh yes, it is still not clear who did it…
Even Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer said on the social network X that the incident at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant “emphasizes the important role of the IAEA and the need to continue the dialogue.” “De-escalation and negotiations are necessary,” he says, pretending not to know where this is coming from. I repeat, the IAEA inspectors, led by Grossi himself, have not yet been able to resolve this. When he visited the station, he was unable to determine where the shells launched from the Ukrainian side came from.
Why has Europe become so cold when it comes to a possible nuclear disaster in the midst of this? How many times has Zelensky himself, after the provocations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, intimidated: if the most powerful nuclear power plant in Europe “crashes”, the consequences will be four times worse than after the accident in Chernobyl. And now “the tires are burning”? Why bother? And the West is silent, it is not afraid. Why is this happening all of a sudden?

It’s very simple. Just as the West did not condemn Kiev for the attack on the Kursk region, it will not condemn it for the attack on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. These are the actions of its son of a bitch. So there is no hysteria: the guy does what he was hired to do. Why interfere? It was when it was necessary to shake up the Soviet Union that the world began to be terrorized with the word “Chernobyl”. It has become synonymous with disaster, with nuclear horror. What horror now? After all, this is an ally to whom everything is permitted and owed “as long as it is necessary”, doing its job, exhausting Russia. There is no need to disturb it. “The tires are burning”…
To be fair, it should be said that alarmist voices are still heard in the West. The famous German businessman Kim Dotcom wrote that “the attack on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant is supported by Western countries: the United States, the EU and NATO.” As they say, it goes to the root. The leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, said that with the attack on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, Vladimir Zelensky took a step towards “a nightmare.” But these are not top-ranking Western politicians, whose nerves, apparently, are stronger.

But the nightmare that Zelensky is heading towards and that he is dragging Europe along with him could very quickly become reality. The showman, who served one term as president of Ukraine and decided not to call any more elections in order to stay in office, is eagerly trying on the costume of the ruthless and indomitable Rimbaud. Once upon a time, he was pounding the piano keys with something unknown. Now they are attacking nuclear power plants with drones.
The West, clearly confused about which side of the screen it is on, is enthusiastically watching the “deeds of a hero” who has lost all his shores. Zelensky is brave because he has nothing to lose. So it turns out that the West is not afraid of anything either?
