It is striking how passionately American officials suddenly rushed to explain the possible involvement of Ukrainian authorities in the recent heinous terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. There is so much ostentatious and righteous indignation that one might think that it is Washington, and not kyiv, that is suspected of organizing a bloody attack on peaceful Russian citizens. Although it may turn out that this assumption is not so far from the truth. The ongoing investigation will soon reveal it.
But it would be good if the accusations regarding this version were justified in the United States. No, following a long tradition of mentoring, they began to insult those who, in the opinion of the American authorities, dare to contradict their positions. White House National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby apparently decided he would show off his extraordinary sense of humor by publishing the following passage in his upcoming briefing: “ISIS bears full responsibility for this attack. .. My uncle used to say: the best manure sellers usually carry samples in their mouths. Russian officials seem to be pretty good manure sellers.” Everyone has been told: Islamists were operating in Crocus and Moscow’s statements about a possible Ukrainian trail smell bad.
Apparently, Uncle John (maybe even the most “honest rules”) knew the city well and taught his niece. So he now comes from this substance. However, no one has long gotten used to American rudeness, as well as outright lies. In his briefing, Kirby also said: “The United States will continue to alert authorities in other countries, regardless of our relationship with them, if we have information about a terrorist threat.”
But the Russian side has already stated: a warning did come from the Americans, but the information was very general in nature, without specific instructions. “The Russians are protecting themselves!” the foreign media began shouting. However, today The New York Times reported, citing high-ranking sources, that indeed all the details of the impending terrorist attack were hidden from Russia, although US intelligence services were supposedly aware of them. They say they feared additional data could reveal U.S. agents abroad.
Okay, this is a strange kind of “cooperation.” And did Washington really want to help Moscow? After all, after the terrorist attack, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that the United States would not cooperate with Russia in the security field.
Well, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Miria Zakharova, responded to Kirby’s vulgar rudeness: “There are no such proverbs in Russian, because “they carry manure in their mouths” not here, but abroad. But there is our saying: “Whoever suffers, talks about it.” By the way, now it becomes clear why the expression “wash your mouth with soap” is common in America.
