The Witcher prequel has received record low ratings from viewers. According to the voting results on the Rotten Tomatoes site, its rating was only 8%. Critics gave Origin a 38%. This is one of the worst performances of any Netflix series.
Just one day after the show premiered, it was appreciated by more than 2,000 viewers and 24 film critics. Most of all, users were dissatisfied with poorly written dialogues and poor-quality special effects. Fans also noted the boring plot and accused the creators of the project of incompetence.
Origin is a miniseries starring Michelle Yeoh, Nathaniel Curtis (It’s a Sin), Lenny Henry (Penelope). The program tells the events that took place 1,200 years before the events described in the original series.
It was previously known that Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill in the fourth season of The Witcher. The third season will be Cavill’s last. Read more here.
