Date: January 29, 2023 Time: 05:12:48

The Fashion for All Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to racial equality in fashion, will present the work of young artists at Art Basel. The initiative was implemented as part of the BIPOC-Creative Cohort project to promote talent. WWD writes about it.

The organization selected 15 finalists between the ages of 18 and 36 who are actively pursuing creative careers. In November they visited a residence in Miami based on Art Basel. Subsequently, the artists presented the final projects.

The 15 winners included: Jonathan Martinez, Aashka Mehta, Vladimir Fairville, Diana Almanza, Leo Lillard, Jakari Akhil Whitaker, Chris Pleasant, Joyce Gaio, Anthony Bartley, Weijing Xiao, Alex Yaralli, Yifan Xu, Jordan Bigelow, Cedric Thurman and Mohammed Tall .

All finalists will participate in a one-year creative group (January to December 2023) where they will have access to a large number of industry professionals.

Louise Bourgeois’ Spider sculpture previously sold at Art Basel for $40 million. We talk about it in more detail here.
