Romy, the leader of The xx, shared a new solo composition called “The Sea”. The video for the track has already been posted on YouTube.
The song will be included on the singer’s debut album, “Mid Air.” The album will be released on September 8. The dance track about love was produced by Stuart Price and singer Fred Again… The video clip was directed by Molly Mills.
I’m so excited to share this song with you! I dreamed that I had time to go out in the summer,” said the singer.
The composition “The Sea” followed Romy’s singles “Loveher”, “Strong” with Fred Again… and Enjoy Your Life. All of them will be included in the upcoming album “Mid Air”, which, according to the artist, will be a collection of songs dedicated to love, loss and the exploration of identity.
Recall that previously another member of The xx, DJ and producer Jamie xx, recorded a two-hour mix for the weekly The Essential Mix, which is broadcast on BBC Radio 1. The musician’s selection included tracks by Philip Glass, Kamasi Washington and Peter Gabriel.
