Date: February 28, 2024 Time: 18:15:34

In the Russian Drama Theater named after Aitmatov, work is in full swing. They will be carried out in three stages. For each, it is planned to announce a tender. At the same time, as indicated in the theater administration, the troupe of actors will continue to work as usual. The performances will run as scheduled.

“Now 28 million 116 thousand soms have been allocated to us, but this is not the full amount,” said theater director Sergei Bardakov. – We plan to use these funds to repair a small stage, a foyer, dressing rooms on three floors, rooms on a spiral staircase and executive rooms on the ground floor, and replace chairs in the auditorium. The amount of work is great, but we are glad that they have finally started.

At the Kyrgyz Drama Theater named after Abdymomunov, repairs will begin as soon as a tender is held between the construction companies. The partial replacement of the roof, the reconstruction of the auditorium, the dressing rooms and some utility rooms are planned.

It can be said that the Osh Regional Theater named after Ibraimov was lucky with the repair. At the end of April 2023, a troupe from the southern capital came to Bishkek on tour and brought the historical drama “Kulan” for screening. The head of government Akylbek Zhaparov attended the performance with the entire Cabinet staff. In the end, he took the stage, expressed his admiration for the talent of the actors and noted that on behalf of the President of Kyrgyzstan, a great program to support national culture will be launched in 2023.

“The state has embarked on a steady path of development and now we are faced with the task of reviving culture, educating a new generation of Kyrgyzstani who love their homeland, native language and culture,” Aklybek Zhaparov said. – It is necessary to instill in people life values that help strengthen self-awareness and faith in their own strengths.

The Cabinet Chief also spoke with theater actors in an informal setting. It was then that the artists asked to expedite the resolution of the repair issue. And as soon as the troupe returned to Osh, the mayor of the city, Bakytbek Zhetigenov, came to the theater building. He learned about the main problems of the cultural institution and assured that the reconstruction would begin this year.

Unfortunately, the Kyrgyz State Circus has yet to have any luck with repairs. It has not been renovated since its commissioning in 1976.

“We understand that the building and its façade are in a sorry state and we recognize that repairs are needed,” said Saltanat Mambetmusaeva, head of the artistic development department at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy. . – Significant funds will be required from the budget for these purposes.

Meanwhile, the building of the Kyrgyz State Circus is included in the list of architectural monuments of the republic. According to specialists from Bishkek Glavarchitectura, today its condition is assessed as unsatisfactory. Heating, sewage and plumbing have not changed since the commissioning of the building. Several times a year we have to clean the drains, the ventilation doesn’t work. The animal enclosures are kept in relative order only thanks to the circus staff.

In 2023, the national circus company celebrates its anniversary. He began his work in 1963, then it was called “Young Kyrgyzstan”.
