The solemn signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement with the Traditional Buddhist Sangha of Russia took place at the National Guard Museum.
On behalf of the Traditional Buddhist Sangha of Russia, the agreement was signed by the head of the Moscow branch of the religious organization Did Hambo Lama Dashi-Nima Sodnomdorzhiev, and on behalf of the Russian Guard, on behalf of the head of the department, Army General Viktor Zolotov, by the deputy head of the Russian Guard, Colonel General Alexey Vorobyov.
The document defines the areas of cooperation between the parties in the field of spiritual, patriotic and spiritual-moral education of servicemen and employees of the Russian Guard, as well as their families.

Dashi-Nima Sodnomdorzhiev noted that Buddhism is a religion of peace and the traditional Buddhist Sangha of Russia, together with the National Guard, will continue to create for the good of the Motherland and together will protect the spiritual and moral values of our multinational and multi-religious country.
In turn, the Deputy Chief of the Russian Guard stressed that more than 2,600 Buddhist soldiers and employees currently serve in the units of the department. Buddhist warriors, who distinguished themselves by their tenacity, as during the Great Patriotic War, today, during a special military operation, prove to be true patriots of our Motherland, Great Russia.
“For their bravery and courage, 579 military and police officers of the Russian Buddhist Guard received state and departmental awards,” Vorobyov said at the meeting.

On March 14, 2024, Director of the Russian Guard, General of the Army Viktor Zolotov, and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia signed an Agreement on Cooperation between the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation and the Russian Orthodox Church. And in May, Viktor Zolotov and Supreme Mufti Sheikh-ul-Islam Talgat Safich Tajuddin signed an Agreement on Cooperation between the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation and the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia.
