The solemn signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement with the Traditional Buddhist Sangha of Russia took place at the National Guard Museum.

On behalf of the Traditional Buddhist Sangha of Russia, the agreement was signed by the head of the Moscow branch of the religious organization Did Hambo Lama Dashi-Nima Sodnomdorzhiev, and on behalf of the Russian Guard, on behalf of the head of the department, Army General Viktor Zolotov, by the deputy head of the Russian Guard, Colonel General Alexey Vorobyov.

In turn, the Deputy Chief of the Russian Guard stressed that more than 2,600 Buddhist soldiers and employees currently serve in the units of the department. Buddhist warriors, who distinguished themselves by their tenacity, as during the Great Patriotic War, today, during a special military operation, prove to be true patriots of our Motherland, Great Russia.

“For their bravery and courage, 579 military and police officers of the Russian Buddhist Guard received state and departmental awards,” Vorobyov said at the meeting.
