The streaming service Netflix showed a trailer for the documentary series “Depp vs. Heard.” It is dedicated to the trial between Hollywood actors and ex-spouses Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. The program will launch on the platform on August 16.
The series will use footage from the broadcast, which took place during the hearings directly from the courtroom. Judging by the video, the authors will try to understand what exactly happened between Depp and Heard. The series will also show how the world followed the proceedings and tried to analyze which of the ex-spouses was telling the truth. The author of the project was Emma Cooper.
The director will release three episodes, each of which will reveal new layers of the event. In addition to the trial itself, the director will show what happened during it in the media space. Among Cooper’s heroes will be tiktokers and YouTubers, amateur detectives and even bots who asked for support on one side or the other of the conflict. The series will reveal how they manipulated information and transformed the concept of truth.
