There is less than a month left until the deadline to request the 200-euro check for individuals with a low level of income and assets. It will be on February 15 when the Electronic Office of the Public Treasury opens the form that it has already enabled to request this subsidy promoted from the heart of the Government of Spain. It should be remembered that, in the event that the social benefit is approved, it will be received in a single payment that will be received by the bank account holder. However, not all interested parties will be able to collect this financial aid. These are some of the reasons.
First of all, you have to remember that you have to meet the general requirements to access this help. The Royal Decree establishes that they can request the new aid of 200 euros, the objective of which is “to support the income of middle-class families in a context of inflation, for those who have carried out an activity on their own account or by someone else or have been beneficiaries of the benefit or subsidy for unemployment, as long as the income received has been less than 27,000 euros per year.
However, those who exceed these limits will not be the only ones who will be excluded. Nor can pensioners or beneficiaries of the Minimum Vital Income request it. It was María Jesús Montero, Minister of Finance and Public Function, who was in charge of defending that both cases have benefited from the increase in these benefits, which was included in the new General State Budget. Contributory pensions, that is, those paid by Social Security, increased by 8.5%, while non-contributory pensions, that is, those from Imserso, increased by 15%. The minimum and maximum amounts of the Minimum Vital Income do the same.
Who is excluded from the aid of 200 euros?
There are also pensioners, as well as the beneficiaries of the Minimum Vital Income. In short, those who:
Receive the Minimum Vital Income. Those who receive similar benefits from mutual social security alternatives to RETA (Special Social Security Regime for Self-Employed or Self-Employed Workers).
In addition, the Official State Gazette indicates that people who themselves or their spouses, the legal administrators of a commercial company who had not decided to activate or were holders of securities representing the participation in the equity of an unlisted company.
When and how to fill out the form
Those interested may request the aid of a single payment of 200 euros from February 15 to March 31, 2023. First, they will have to fill out a form at the Tax Agency, in which they will provide the bank account where they wish for the transfer to take place. It will be necessary to have a Cl@ve or electronic certificate to carry out the procedure. However, if the applicant has a fiscal domicile in Navarra or the Basque Country, the local treasuries will be competent to receive the applications and manage the check.
What documents must be provided?
As clarified from the Treasury, in principle, none. Once the form has been filled out, the Tax Agency will cross-check your data with those of other administrations and determine if the taxpayer is entitled to the check. If the aid is not granted, the Tax Agency will notify the applicant, who will have ten days to argue. After a period of one month has elapsed without the latter having presented allegations, documents or supporting documents, the request is considered denied.
