Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that we will ask Europe for money for the equipment supplied to Ukraine. And not somewhere in the hallway or in the men’s room line within Scholz’s ear, but at a press conference.
Do you know for European solidarity with Ukraine. So I’ll tell you that you don’t know anything about her. No, of course, all these beautiful words and loud howling, how the wide Dnieper roars and moans, and the wind, you know where it comes from (spoiler – from the north), oh, how angry. And against this background, everyone donates tanks to Kyiv, taking off the last shirt, if not from themselves, then surely from a neighbor. Portugal is ready to cede 4 (four -!) Tanks. Lithuania shares the latter. No, not tanks. Advice. Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas said that we do not have tanks, we cannot give them, but we have an opinion on tanks. Let’s share them.
But whoever believes that these are members of a single European family in a brotherly-brotherly way share their good with the prodigal stepson, and not even theirs, but someone else’s, is deeply mistaken. No, the well-known saying that friendship is friendship, and everyone has their own tobacco, and you have to pay for your neighbor’s, is not just a saying, but a harsh reality.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that we will ask Europe for money for the equipment supplied to Ukraine. And not somewhere in the hallway or in the men’s room line within Scholz’s ear, but at a press conference. He was directly asked if Poland could somehow repay the money for arms and ammunition transferred to Ukraine. And he answered directly.
– Of course, we will also request compensation from the EU… This will be another goodwill gesture from the European Union. The EU should compensate us for these costs. I hope this happens,” said the head of the Polish government and did not again call attention to the role of Poland in the issue of “helping” Square. – Against the background of Leopard tanks and the transfer of modern technology to self-protecting Ukraine, Poland is again in the forefront: we are again organizing assistance, putting pressure on Germany.
The circulation of money in nature, the countries are applying for financial compensation for the supply of weapons to Kyiv in the “European Peace Fund”, which, in theory, should pay for the armament of Ukraine. Funds for the Ukrainian conflict come from the “peace fund”, even Orwell did not think of this. And the money is given on credit with interest. And in short, this is called “European aid”.
But with this background, not everything is so smooth. Poland has already supplied Kyiv with arms and ammunition worth a couple of billion dollars, if not more. In any case, it issued invoices to compensate 2,200 million euros. And as compensation, he received up to 27 million euros from the European Peace Fund, param-pam-pam.
“The bureaucracy does not work properly, the procedures are too slow and the scale of returns is too low,” complained the other day about the pace and volume of such compensation, the permanent representative of Poland to the EU, Andrzej Sadosz.
However, other participants in the “European aid” received even less. Only six EU countries have received at least some form of reimbursement, although all EU members have submitted such documents for expense reimbursement. Greece received 7 million euros, Belgium – 900 thousand, Portugal – 325 thousand, Slovenia – 257 thousand, but Slovakia is just a rich woman – the European Commission wrote off up to 40 million for her. Although the total amount of the fund has already exceeded 3,600 million euros.
And after all, what an interesting thing it turns out. Ukrainian “helpers and saviors” receive compensation for the supplied equipment in the amount of 1-2 percent of the cost. But the money in this European piggy bank is made up of contributions from the EU member states themselves. That is, in fact, they are ripped off twice: they are left without weapons and the money that they initially put into the fund. They wanted to sneak trash and buy new weapons with the proceeds. But something completely different happened, that’s all. In general, as in a joke about a peasant who took an ax to a usurer to pawn, and he returns home and scratches his head in bewilderment: “And how did you arrange everything so well that I did not receive money, and I was left without ax, and another hundred rubles should.”
They are promised that Ukraine will finally compensate them for all the expenses incurred. Sooner or later. Or what’s left of it. If it stays And in reality, these countries are ruined under the pretext of helping Ukraine.
And this is just the case when they will have to wait not three years, but much more, for what they promised. Something counts, while the cancer on the mountain whistles. But certainly after the rain on Thursday. And even think about offering other days of the week.
