The truth is that this economic measure, promoted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, led today by Yolanda Díaz, is not yet in operation and could be extended for another five or six months, it is designed to facilitate employability .
The objective is none other than to encourage these people, in a clear situation of economic vulnerability due to lack of employment, to find a job that allows them to be economically independent. And it is that, at present, there are more than 900,000 long-term unemployed in our country who receive this subsidy of 480 euros per month.
However, although this SEPE initiative may seem really surprising, it should be remembered that it is already fully operational with other social benefits, such as the employment incentive that has been in place since the beginning of 2023 for the beneficiaries of the Minimum Vital Income. Having said this, there is no doubt that the main objective is to boost employability in a way that allows those interested or interested to get out of the unemployment queue in perpetuity.
The aid of 120 euros is part of the new Employment Law
The measure is part of the regulatory development of the Employment Law, which was approved on February 16 in the Congress of Deputies.
