This will be the price of the transport pass in Madrid with a 60% discount

Regarding Madrid, Ayuso has indicated that the Community “will pay 20% of the transport pass in January”, as it has been doing since September and, as of February, the regional contribution will reach 30%, so the titles travel will cost 60% less than usual.

With these new rates, as of January 1, the 30-day Youth Pass, which can be used by those under 26 years of age, will continue to cost 10 euros and from February it will be reduced to 8 euros; the normal A 27.3 and 21.8 respectively; B1, 31.8 and 25.4 euros; B2, 36 and 28.8 euros, and the unified zone B3-C1/C2 stays at 41 again in January to drop later to 32.8.

The unified B3, C1 and C2 fares will be maintained, a measure in force since January 1 of this year, while the 10-journey Metro, Light Metro and EMT tickets, which have a 30% reduction, from the Next January 1 they will keep their price at 8.5 euros, provided they are used within zone A.

In addition, in all the titles there are discounts for large families in the general category, which have an additional reduction of 20%, and in the special category, with 50%; in the case of people with a disability of more than 65%, it reaches 20%

This measure, Ayuso stressed, is added to “the strong subsidy that public transport in Madrid always has, in a stable way”. The Madrid Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM) will also ratify tomorrow, Thursday, the free subscription for those over 65, which will now increase to 1.60 euros, as well as the unification of Rivas Vaciamadrid in zone B1, which will enter in force in the first quarter of 2023 and will mean the reduction of its importation to 88,000 users who were found in the part of the municipality corresponding to crown B2.
