Thriller Murder Mystery wins the César for best film

The 48th edition of the César Film Awards, also known as the French Oscars, took place in Paris. The jury was headed by writer-director Daniel Thompson. The main prize went to the thriller “Murder Mystery” (in the original – “La Nuit du 12”) directed by Dominique Moll.

According to Deadline, Moll won Best Director, while Bouli Lanner, who starred in Murder Mystery, won Best Supporting Actor.

Benoît Magimelu won the Best Actor award for his role in Pacific: Torment in the Islands (originally Pacific: Tourment sur les Iles). And the title of best actress went to Virginie Efira thanks to her role in the film “See Paris Again” (in the original-“Revoir Paris”).

Louis Garrel’s L’Innocent won the Best Original Screenplay category. And Noémie Merlan, who played her, won Best Supporting Actress.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has officially confirmed that Rihanna will perform at the 95th Academy Awards.
