Tiffany and company. Reopened flagship store in Tokyo after renovation. The converted boutique occupies two floors. It is done in the same style as the jewelry brand’s iconic space on Fifth Avenue. WWD reports.
The store was designed by architect Kengo Kuma. The exterior façade with cherry blossom petals and paintings for the interior decoration were created by the artist Damien Hirst.
Opened in 1972, the Ginza boutique became Tiffany & Co.’s third flagship store outside the US Its latest reconstruction retained the building’s famous façade. And its main feature is the Louis Comfort Tiffany leaded glass windows.
