The annual Tinkoff scholarship program for talented students of Russian universities will be expanded this year. This is one of the largest non-state scholarships in Russia. This year, the number of participants in the program will grow 2.5 times to 200 people, and the total budget of the program will be almost 60 million rubles.
Also, students of Russian universities from any country, regardless of their citizenship, will be able to receive a scholarship starting this year.
This year, in addition to the existing tracks “Development” and “Analytics”, the Tinkoff scholarship program will add a new direction – “Information Security”. This is now one of the most sought after areas in technology companies in all industries, including finance.

The Tinkoff scholarship program was launched for the second year in a row and today it is one of the largest non-state scholarships in Russia. Full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s and Master’s students of any Russian university can apply for the scholarship. At the same time, the student’s citizenship will not matter starting this year. Applications from citizens of any country studying in Russia will be accepted to participate in the selection. The monthly payment for the scholarship holder will be 25 thousand rubles. In addition, the participants receive a deferred invitation to an internship or job in a company and will be able to use it after the end of the scholarship. In addition, the scholarship holders become part of a community of talented Russian students, namely: they will receive support from an experienced Tinkoff mentor-mentor, access to closed events and educational materials of the company: courses, lectures and knowledge bases.
To enter the competition for a scholarship, you must complete an application by April 23, upload documents, and pass a selection test on the Tinkoff Education website. The selection test consists of various problems in programming, mathematics or information security. After that, you will need to go through another competitive stage – an online interview with the members of the organizing committee. When considering applications for all three tracks, the student’s outstanding academic performance, participation in national and international competitions, awards in programming championships and hackathons, publications and participation in scientific conferences, work on their own development projects are taken into account. Scholarship program finalists are selected by members of an expert council, which includes senior Tinkoff managers, well-known business people in the IT industry, as well as representatives from scientific, educational and public organizations. Last year, according to the selection results, 80 bachelor’s and master’s degrees from 23 Russian cities received financial and mentoring support from Tinkoff.
– We have been developing Tinkoff Education programs for many years, and last year, when we opened a scholarship, we saw the demand for this initiative. We received more than 14,000 applications from 54 regions of Russia, so we decided to significantly expand the program, says Konstantin Markelov, Vice President and Head of Business Technologies at Tinkoff. – This year, 200 people will be able to apply for financial aid, which will not only help them leave part-time work outside their specialty and free up time for training, but also to take the first steps in their career thanks to our mentors. .
