Tommy Hilfiger launches resale program with Depop

Date: March 29, 2024 Time: 19:14:19

Tommy Hilfiger has opened the brand’s first resale store with Depop. For this reason, the brand strives to minimize its impact on the environment. Hypebae writes about it.

Depop features a curated selection of branded items from the brand’s retail stores, archives and online sales channels. Now the collection has about a hundred models of clothing: jeans, T-shirts, dresses and jackets. They are presented in a dimensional grid from XXS to 3XL.

“Launching our first UK reseller program with Depop is an exciting and important step in becoming a circular brand. The collection has been carefully selected to stimulate interest in the brand among the Depop community. This allows us to engage with new audiences who want to enjoy our products without buying new ones,” said Esther Werburg, Executive Vice President of Innovation and Sustainable Business at Tommy Hilfiger.

To celebrate the launch of the store, the companies came together for a “Made by Tommy, Styled by Depop” campaign. Salespeople from the retailer participated in the photo shoot, making their own ties.

Earlier, Tommy Hilfiger announced a contest for black designers. Its goal is to support new talent among blacks. The competition is positioned as a platform for fundamental changes in the industry.
