According to him, positive dynamics have been achieved in all areas, the average growth rate of production amounted to 120%. Ziyatdinov called the fulfillment of the obligations under the state defense order the main result of the work. “Despite the increase in volumes, our main products, the Tor family air defense systems, were shipped to the troops ahead of schedule,” he said.
Ziyatdinov also said that research and development work is being carried out on 70 topics. A significant part of them is aimed at further improving the tactical and technical characteristics of the Tor air defense system: modernizing the components and devices of the complex, finalizing the software, upgrading the element base.
It was previously reported that the Tor air defense system was upgraded to more effectively intercept shells from the American MLRS HIMARS. According to the developers, “based on experience, certain improvements have been made and the process is going more efficiently.”
