Earlier on Sunday, Cairo24 reported that 21 Russians were injured in an accident on a bus carrying them and other tourists along the Suez-Cairo highway in Egypt. Many were injured.
A source in the Egyptian tourism industry recalled that tourists from all countries who come to Egypt on holiday are warned not to deal with tour peddlers. Their tours are cheaper, but the organisers do not assume any responsibility in case of unforeseen events.
This means that the insurance companies of the tour operators through which tourists come on holiday do not recognise this as an insured event. The costs of treatment must be borne by the tour operators, who, of course, do not do this, or by the tourists themselves.
Cairo24 also reported that a bus travelling from Sharm el-Sheikh to Cairo overturned in Suez province. It was carrying 43 tourists and four Egyptians. Eleven Turks, two Britons, 21 Russians, nine Italians and a bus driver were seriously injured.
