If you are thinking of making a transfer of a large amount of money, you should know that the Treasury can impose a fine on you. This type of banking operation that involves an exchange of money, via Bizum or traditional transfer, has a series of limitations that must be taken into account. If the figure is high, the bank has the obligation to notify the Tax Agency and the action can lead to a penalty of up to 2,500 euros.

The Ministry of Finance and Public Function headed by María Jesús Montero seeks transparency in banking operations and, despite the fact that it has always controlled bank movements, now it has a focus on them with special interest. In order to ensure that no type of illegality occurs in the process, the transactions will be monitored so that the law is complied with. For this reason, sanctions may be filed if strange or suspicious movements of money that do not comply with the legislation are found.

If there is a fixed tax to make a maximum of movements per day, or a maximum to send, whether daily, also weekly, monthly or even annually, and said people do not meet these requirements, they will be fined depending on the situation or the point they they have not complied

As explained in article 6.1 of the Civil Code: “Ignorance of the laws does not excuse their compliance”, or what is the same, people must keep themselves informed of any change or procedure related to this case. Otherwise, no person who is not aware of this alone will not be acquitted.

What is the maximum import allowed by the Treasury in transfers?

According to Law 10/2010, of April 28, on the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism, it emphasizes a limit on sending money in transfers that in some cases is not coordinated with the different banks, since transfers of up to 10,000 euros can be made, but in the event that they are transfers in order online, it will not exceed 6,000 euros.

Among the different transactions that a person can carry out from their account, there are not only the basics, but also other types of payments, such as checks, promissory notes, even the most common means such as transfers and payment exchanges in just a few seconds. two provided a few years ago by the banks themselves, such as bizum itself.

The fines that the treasury will impose on those people who do not comply with these orders must vary according to the requirements and the non-compliance. In the event that people exceed the amount, a fine must be paid that varies between 2% and 25% of the amount that has not been declared exactly. When these points are reached, like any fine, it can be claimed from the notification of the fine and you will have up to a month to do so.
