“Putin came out today and endorsed Kamala Harris, I don’t know if I should have called him and thanked him warmly,” the Republican presidential candidate said.
As Trump noted, he feels he does not know how to evaluate the Russian leader’s statement.
“I don’t know if he insulted me or did me a favor,” he added.
Today, at a plenary meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Putin ironically commented on Moscow’s position on the upcoming US presidential election.
According to him, the Russian favourite is the current US President Joe Biden. Moreover, after refusing to participate in the race, he recommended supporting Harris.
Putin ironically indicated that Moscow would follow his advice. At the same time, the Head of State stressed that Russia would respect any choice made by the Americans.
Following the Russian president’s remarks, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, jokingly asked Harris to “explain herself.”
The US presidential election will take place on November 5. The leading candidates for the post are former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris.
