The tremors occurred on Wednesday morning at a depth of 26 kilometers. The closest settlement to the outbreak, the town of Nikolskoye, Aleutian District, is 145 kilometers away.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory also spoke about an imperceptible seismic event with a magnitude of 3.2. It occurred in the Pacific Ocean, at a point with coordinates 55° 198 north latitude, 163° 346 east longitude at a depth of 67 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 126 kilometers south of the town of Ust-Kamchatsk.
It is noted that local residents did not feel the vibrations of the earth.
