The accident occurred on Friday, July 5, at approximately 7:50 p.m. local time.
It was previously established that the 32-year-old driver, while driving a Toyota Avensis car, on the way from the village of Ortolyk towards the village of Chagan-Uzun, lost control. The car overturned right on the road.
As a result of the accident, two occupants of the foreign vehicle died from their injuries on the spot. The driver and another passenger were taken to a medical facility in serious condition. All four occupants of the vehicle are residents of the Kosh-Agach district.
On the same day, a motorcyclist died in an accident in the village of Elekmonar in the Chemal region. The accident occurred at around 15:00 local time. This was also reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Altai Republic.
According to preliminary data, a 29-year-old resident of the Altai Territory, driving a Toyota Corolla, did not give way to a motorcycle when turning left, although he had the right of way. As a result of the collision, a 41-year-old local resident riding a Kawasaki motorcycle was seriously injured.
The motorcyclist was taken to Chemal District Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
