The awards were presented to the military by the head of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, in the Ussuriysk administration.
– We are rightfully proud that Alexander Sergeevich and Ilya Vadimovich glorified our 5th Army, 127th Division. Thanks to guys like you, everything works out. You lift the spirits of other tank crews and quadcopter operators. He always inspires other boys to great deeds. This is how it should be served,” said the governor.
Recall that the crew of the Alyosha tank in the direction of Zaporozhye hit eight targets at once: two tanks and six enemy armored vehicles. Footage of the fight went viral on the internet. The title of Hero of Russia was awarded to Senior Lieutenant Rasim Baksikov, Lieutenant Alexander Levakov, Corporal Filipp Evseev and Alexei Neustroev. The medal “For Courage” was awarded to Corporal Ilya Gavrilov, who corrected artillery fire from a drone in battle, filming what was happening on video.
Tank commander Alexei Levakov is a native of the Sakhalin region. He went through military service from private to junior lieutenant. Before mobilization, he worked in a mine for eight years, moved to Primorye and three years ago graduated from the Faculty of History of the Far Eastern Federal University. He wanted to be a teacher. In his family there is a Hero of the Soviet Union and holder of three Orders of Glory. Now Alexander Sergeevich is the owner of three high titles: Hero of Russia, Hero of the DPR and Hero of Primorye.
Corporal Ilya Gavrilov’s mother lives on the coast of Lesozavodsk. She said that from the first day of the mobilization her son packed a backpack, “he said that if they didn’t take it, he would volunteer.” Recently, Oleg Kozhemyako visited her and told her the news about the upcoming award of a military man.
