According to the department, information about the emergency was received at the destination at about 3:30 a.m. Two ships collided near the Sverdlovsk embankment. Transport police officers arriving at the scene discovered that one ship, while maneuvering, had collided with a second motor ship.
Judging by the published images, there were passengers on board one of the ships at the time of the accident. The impact crushed part of the upper deck, but no one was injured. No oil spills were recorded. The ships also have no holes. As a result of the collision, the hull and paintwork of the ships were damaged. Both captains were sober.
Transport police officers are now conducting an investigation to establish all the circumstances of the emergency.
