DD is a “standalone” prequel to Game of Thrones, taking place almost two centuries before the events depicted in the base show.
Based on part of the book Fire and Blood by George RR Martin. In the center: high-flying intrigue within House Targaryen.
The first season premiered in late summer 2022 and was received very favorably. It has thirteen awards, including an Emmy, and 68 nominations.
The second premiere is on June 16.
The entire cast returned to their characters: Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel.
The series has already been renewed for a third part.
