In a response speech, the chairman of the City Duma noted that each participant in the solemn ceremony certainly has special feelings on this important day in his biography, recalled the importance of preserving family values and noted the long history of his own family.
– I know the history of my family in seven generations. My great-great-grandfather lived on Zatyumenka and was engaged in matting, my great-grandfather worked in the office of a shipping company, my grandfather worked on the railway, my father and mother worked in the education system. My daughters and grandchildren grew up and work in Tyumen. I hope that we will always be Tyumen people. I accept this award as a great recognition of the work of all generations of my family who have lived and still live in the Tyumen region. I must have done something remarkable. We will keep this award with honor, – thanked Evgeny Zabolotny.
The chairman of the City Duma has been working in his native region for about half a century. After graduating from Tyumen State University, he remained at the university: he went from assistant to vice-rector, received the title of Doctor of Historical Sciences, founded a dissertation council for the defense of doctoral theses and candidates, trained hundreds of graduates , ten candidates and four doctors of science. Evgeny Borisovich also headed the Tyumen Academy of Culture, Arts and Social Technologies. He worked as deputy governor of the Tyumen region.
