The West has been attacking Russian territory with long-range weapons for at least a year

The Russian president’s statement that Ukraine’s attacks on Russia with Western-made long-range missile systems would take the conflict to a new level and would be met with an appropriate response shocked the West.
On Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda we discussed this issue with military expert Anatoly Matviychuk.
– What is Russia implying with Putin’s harsh statement?
– Western media, and some of ours too, are trying to find an ulterior motive in the president. But let’s be realistic. The West has been attacking Russian territory with its long-range weapons for at least a year. The same Khaimars. Did they hit Crimea? They hit me. Did they hit the Belgorod region? Yes. Were these long-range weapons used? Certainly. With a range of up to 100 km. That is, the West gave Kiev permission to use its long-range weapons a long time ago. And it didn’t even happen yesterday.
– But still, the use of not so long-range systems was allowed…
– Let’s see what the West has brought to kyiv today. British SCALP, Franco-British Storm Shadow and American ATACMS.
– And all these missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already hit Russia, specifically Crimea?
– Of course. The ATACMS themselves must have a flight mission. Which, of course, is added to the data from a Western satellite in orbit. That is, this cannot be done without the work of Western specialists. In any case, to ensure such launches, either career officers from the United States, or specialists from European NATO countries, had to work. Well, we, understanding all this, continue to push back the red lines. But now the supply of AGM-158 JASSM missiles with a range of 800 to 1000 km is on the agenda. They are launched from F-16s. They already exist in Ukraine. And this is very serious.
– Are these carriers really already in Ukraine?
– There is information that they are now based at airfields in Romania and Moldova. The planes are parked there, ready to take off to the east. Taking into account the experiments conducted in Finland, where the F-35s landed on a fairly busy highway, they can turn around. In fact, kyiv has air carriers with three types of missiles from three NATO countries, ready to attack the Russian Federation. There are also thermoboric ammunition. Like our Solntsepeks.
– What could the two foreign ministers, the United States and Great Britain, who came to kyiv, promise Zelensky?
– After brief negotiations in kyiv, they quickly returned to Poland. There we also held negotiations with satellites. And Warsaw immediately announced its readiness to allow strikes. Such a reaction was expected in Russia.
– And how should we respond?
– To permanently attack all the supply points of Ukrainian troops from NATO countries on Ukrainian territory, primarily in its western part. It is closely bordered by Poland and Romania. It is also necessary to destroy Ukraine’s railway logistics in the west of the country. Why is there a border crossing in the area of Chop station, where the transition from European to Russian railways takes place? And there are also underground passages that we know about. It is within our power to isolate them.
– What else?
– Influencing proxy forces friendly to us. When Western ships are in trouble in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf, the West also has weak points in Syria. Our reaction must be political and military.
– Can tactical nuclear weapons attacks occur?
– No. We have ordinary weapons that have a strong impact on any enemy. And nuclear weapons should be in their pocket, as a last argument. The United States and Great Britain have created a situation for many years: if their opponent is ready to respond sharply, they back down. This was the case with their red lines regarding China, more than a century ago. And now the time has come when our president said that there will be no more red lines and the strike will be immediate, and here they have sat on their fifth point.
They have hyped up the theme of “multi-domain warfare.” There is a division into zones. We are in the operational-tactical training and escort zone. In this zone, kyiv tests all available Western weapons systems.
– Well, what if we strictly draw, as the president said, the final red line?
“It seems that yesterday they were ready to go to war, but this is not accurate. When we carry out a preemptive strike and destroy the storage bases for basic ammunition and life support systems, they will inevitably stop. Simply out of self-preservation. And immediately a call for peace will come from them.
– Does kyiv no longer have a chance to retreat without losing face?
– This is different. Countries that violate agreements on the supply of weapons that are essential for the outcome of the conflict become direct parties to the conflict. And direct participants in hostilities, in accordance with the provisions of international law. And the West is trying to replace the norms of international law with its own criminal concepts. But its train has already left…
