Ukraine deals the main blow of its offensive: the Pentagon forced Kiev to throw its main reserves into battle

Probably, we are now witnessing the all-inclusive tax that Kiev, under pressure from the West, puts into play.

At the same time, American journalists, citing their sources in the Pentagon, called the aggravation in the Zaporozhye sector of the front almost “the general stage of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.” The New York Times writes that most of the remaining reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are ultimately involved: thousands of soldiers, many of whom are trained in the West. Politico echoes that “Kiev is beginning to transfer well-trained reinforcements to the front line, which it previously held in reserve.” There are indications that Ukraine has led major forces into battle in this area, writes the Washington Post.

“They (Ukrainian troops) still have several options, and we can expect them to continue to exert pressure,” Pentagon chief Austin said. – Ukraine retains personnel and equipment even as it makes its way through minefields and other obstacles.

Well, let’s say how it makes its way through minefields, we all see in the images taken by drones. Dozens of units of equipment burned in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, near Rabotino and Pyatikhatky. At the same time, the barriers in the fields are constantly “renewed” by remote mining. Therefore, it is unlikely that the Ukrainian tanks and infantry fighting vehicles lost here can be called the conspirators of a safe path. But the fact that our adversary has increased its efforts in this direction is obvious.

Is this the main blow of the Ukrainian “counteroffensive”?

After the Pentagon announced this through the newspapers, Kiev simply has no choice. The Armed Forces of Ukraine still retain a serious resource of human mobilization and a technical potential thrown by the West. But all this is exhausted daily. Even at the time when NATO was deciding on arms supplies to Ukraine, I suggested that the main problem for Kiev would be its time period.

And so it happened. The tanks and infantry fighting vehicles needed to break through Russian defenses go in portions. And they are also ground in portions by our artillery, Lancet kamikaze drones and Alligator missiles: Ka-52 attack helicopters.

Does the enemy now have a chance to cross our borders in Zaporozhye? Suppose there is, if you concentrate all the resources of the “counteroffensive” on one point. And this means weakening other areas: Vuhledar, Avdiivka, Artemovskoye, Krasnolimanskoye, Kupyansk … But then what? It is not enough to break through, it is necessary to develop success with something, expand the bridgehead, consolidate and maintain positions. And at the rate of losses and their replacement, especially in armored vehicles, this task seems almost impossible.

Probably, we are now witnessing the all-inclusive tax that Kiev, under pressure from the West, puts into play. For the second attempt, resources may not be sufficient. And in case of failure of the current phase of the “general battle”, it may take another winter for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to recover. That we can already use.
