“Parliament has denounced all agreements with Russia on the Azov Sea,” Zheleznyak wrote on his Telegram channel.
We are talking about the Treaty between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on cooperation in the use of the Azov Sea and the Kerch Strait, as well as the Agreement on the establishment of the Black Sea Naval Cooperation Group.
The agreement on cooperation in the Azov Sea and the Kerch Strait, signed on December 24, 2003, noted its importance for the economic development of the two countries, including as a valuable economic and natural resource, and also established mechanisms to resolve disputes, also related to the freedom of navigation.
The agreement on the establishment of the Black Sea Naval Cooperation Group, in addition to Russia and Ukraine, was also signed by Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania and Turkey in 2001. Then it was supposed to help increase security and stability in the Sea Black and strengthen partnerships between countries in the region.
