Biden’s visit to Ukraine is tragic news for her

Biden’s visit to Kiev has nothing to do with supporting Ukraine, he only solved his own problems, Sergey Markov, director of the Institute for Political Studies, said in an interview with Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda.
– First of all, it must be said that the United States and Biden do not actually support Ukraine, they simply use it as a weapon in a proxy war against Russia. When you charge your phone or put money in it, doesn’t it say that I decided to support my device as my main friend? No, you subsidize it to use it more efficiently, – notes the expert.
Also, according to Sergei Markov, Biden’s visit to Ukraine is tragic news for her:
– Of course, Zelensky has his own sphere of competence. He can appoint someone as mayor or governor. I think that even he can name the Minister of Culture. But Zelensky cannot make key decisions about war and peace. The main point of Biden’s visit from the point of view of Ukrainian history is to make sure that the Ukrainians kill as many Russians as possible and die themselves in order to prolong this massacre of the Ukrainian people.
But the main point of the US President’s visit, of course, was not related to Ukraine. This is nothing more than an internal American political struggle. He had to score whists against his main rival: Donald Trump.
– In general, Americans subordinate all foreign policy to domestic. Biden wants to run for the next presidential term. But he can only do this if he is nominated by the leadership of the Democratic Party. And there, many doubt, because they believe that Joe Biden, first, will not be able to win the elections, and second, he will not be able to be president, because he is physically weak and mentally ill. With his visit to kyiv, Biden showed that he was in good shape and gave an answer to the skeptics.
There is a lot of talk about security in kyiv on this day. Oddly enough, it was provided by Russia. It was Moscow that gave assurances that everything would be fine with Joe in the Ukrainian capital, Markov believes. And don’t listen to the air raid alert that went off in the city.
– It’s a 100 percent false air raid alert. There is no doubt that Russia, through open channels, gave a guarantee of the total security of the visit. This is also confirmed by Western agencies that “the United States, shortly before Biden’s visit to Ukraine, contacted the Russian Federation to avoid conflict situations.” And there were no blows. Note that even despite the alarm, none of the hundreds of people who surrounded the first people, and they themselves, did not even think to escape possible air raids. They absolutely know that if Putin has given his word, he will keep it.
Biden’s visit to kyiv can be compared to Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan. Both pursued their own internal goals.
– First of all, they show that the rhetoric is getting tougher. Both anti-Chinese and anti-Russian. Second, both trips are the assertion of his power over the Ukraine and Taiwan. And thirdly, it is also a solution to internal problems. The fact is that Nancy Pelosi found herself in a very difficult situation. She could have been arrested and prosecuted for using confidential information to enrich her husband by tens of millions of dollars. But after such a forceful visit, the US Attorney’s office simply couldn’t bring itself to bring a case against a woman who has become a symbol of the fight against greater China. That is, both Biden and Pelosi had an internal motive – the solution of large internal personal and political problems that they successfully resolved with the help of such visits.
