The shelling reportedly began after midnight. Donetsk (kyiv district) was attacked six times by Ukrainian armed formations, which used shells with a caliber of 155 mm. Seven 155-mm caliber shells were also fired at the Yasinovatsky district.
Earlier, the adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, Yan Gagin, warned that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would try to attack the territory of the DPR on February 23. He stressed that the Ukrainian army is preparing for this date and expects a “positive result.”
