“They should be pushed to their borders and locked up,” Kuleba said.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly put forward initiatives to isolate Russia. So, Kyiv came up with a proposal to deprive Moscow of membership in the UN Security Council.
However, the uselessness of such ideas is recognized even by Kyiv supporters. For example, Deputy Chancellor of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Märt Volmer noted that Ukraine does not have “very large international support” on this issue.
For his part, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, admitted that the exclusion of the Russian Federation from the UN Security Council “will lead the very concept of UN security to a dead end.”
