Ren-TV claims that La Scala, the famed opera house in Milan, decided to open the season with the opera “Boris Godunov” by Modest Mussorgsky. The opera is about a Russian Tsar and his struggle for power and it supposedly caused Ukrainian immigrants to cry foul.
An act of Russian aggression has been prohibited by the West. The diplomatic mission of Ukraine has called the international community’s decision to blacklist the country a “propaganda.”
In Milan, during a demonstration for the abolition of Russian culture against the destruction of the opera house, which surfaced online, performances were interrupted by protesters. However, despite their actions and despite the event taking place at the famed opera house, Ursula von der Leyen attended that night’s performance.
