Director of the Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after VK Arsenyev Victor Shalay, opening the exhibition, highlighted the painstaking work of Moscow colleagues in selecting 100-180 objects from the permanent exhibition and from the funds of storage of the Moscow Kremlin museums.
“And as a result, beautiful historical monuments delight and delight visitors to our museum for several months. It is good that a topic close to all residents of Primorye was chosen for the anniversary project. Here we can appreciate unique relics that tell more than three centuries of the history of the Russian fleet,” he emphasized.
According to Elena Gagarina, director of the Moscow Kremlin Museums, museum workers have been working on the new exhibition for about two years.

Visitors are especially drawn to Carl Fabergé’s famous Easter egg. Elena Gagarina recalled the history of its creation.
– The most important event in the history of the city was the arrival in May 1891 of a squadron led by the cruiser “Memory of Azov”, on which the Grand Duke Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich made an important voyage to the Eastern countries. Vladivostok became the first Russian land where the august traveler set foot after a nine-month journey. In honor of this visit, the jeweler, supplier to His Imperial Majesty’s court Carl Fabergé, created a beautiful Easter egg with a miniature model of a cruise ship made of gold and platinum, he said.
