The Fédération de Haute Couture has announced the schedule for Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. It will take place from January 23 to 26. In total, 30 fashion houses will present their new collections. WWD writes about it.
Traditionally, Schiaparelli will open the four-day couture season. The show will take place at 10 am on January 23. Valentino will present a new collection on the night of January 25. Maison Margiela and veteran dressmaker Adeline André are not participating this year.
New Delhi-based brand Gaurav Gupta, Maison Sara Chraibi from Morocco and ANDAM Award winner Robert Wun were the three new guests. Dior, Chanel, Giorgio Armani Privé, Elie Saab, Viktor & Rolf, Iris van Herpen, Giambattista Valli, Sterling Ruby and Charles de Villemorin will also show their collections.
One of the highlights of the week will be the Haider Ackermann fashion show for Jean Paul Gaultier. The designer described the project as “a fantasy realized on several levels at once.” The premiere is scheduled for January 25.
Earlier it became known that the chairman of the Chanel fashion department, Bruno Pawlowski, heads the federation of haute couture. He succeeded Ralph Toledano. Read more here.
