“The Department of State has made the decision to approve the possible sale to another state, the government of the Czech Republic, of the repair/modernization of AH-1Z and UH-1Y aircraft and the provision of related equipment in an amount of up to $650 million,” TASS cited the text of the document.
It is known that Prague approached the US with the intention of acquiring equipment to repair eight helicopters: six AH-1Z and two UH-1Y. The United States is going to provide the Czechs with engines, navigation systems, radio stations, machine guns and other equipment.
