He told RIA Novosti that Dmitry Nazarov had a conversation with the artistic director of the theater Konstantin Khabensky.
“According to the results of the conversation, it was decided to dismiss Dmitry Nazarov and Olga Vasilyeva from the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater,” Vernik said.
The reasons for this decision are not reported.
Earlier, the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper announced the dismissal of Nazarov and his wife from the theater. However, later the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation himself denied this information. He said that he did not know about his dismissal from the theater, where he worked for 20 years. He also urged “not to read yellow newspapers on an empty stomach.”
