According to the VDNKh press service, on Saturday, August 5, from 12:00 to 20:00, the historical events of the exhibition will be reconstructed: from the filming of the film “The Pig and the Shepherd” and the opening of the “Cosmos” pavilion at the exhibitions “50 years of the USSR automobile industry” and “Scientific and technical progress – 85”. And on Sunday, August 6, from 12:00 to 22:00, the territory of VDNKh will become the embodiment of a futuristic dream, where robots will meet guests and escort them to Industry Square, the main site in this day. The climax will be the show program “Look to the Future”.
You can also learn the history of VDNKh on thematic excursions in the Aviation and Cosmonautics Center, the Slovo Museum of Slavic Literature, the Oil Pavilion and the Beekeeping Ecocenter. The equestrian circle of the Center for National Equestrian Traditions will host performances by riders from the Kremlin Riding School and warhorse competitions, and concerts will be held on the roof of the Women’s and Kolkhoz Pavilion. The musicians will also perform at Cosmos, on the stage next to the Restomarket and at the Green Theatre.
On Sunday it will also host a non-Olympic sports festival. For example, open training sessions and lacrosse master classes are scheduled at the Ostankino Park stadium from 12:00 to 19:30. And on the site between pavilions No. 23 and No. 22, you can see the performances of roller athletes. The festival schedule is published on the VDNKh website.
