“We will prepare for the Biennale and carry out two major projects. The first will be carried out in cooperation with the Shape Arts London organization, which supports artists with certain physical or developmental disabilities. The second, in cooperation with the Center of the Russian Art Studio at the Ka’ Foscari Institute in Venice, we will show the works of various Russian artists,” said Schelsi.
The center now displays an installation by Russian-Georgian artist Lidia Russkova-Khasai. A three meter high art object is a luminous white door, symbolizing a portal to a limitless dialogue between creators of all countries, cultures and peoples. As Shelsi noted, Russia will sooner or later return to the world art scene and take its place.
