Versace unveiled a spring/summer 2023 menswear campaign featuring models Mark Vanderloo and Yvan de Pineda, nearly three decades after their Versace debut in 1996. The photos were taken by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
According to Hypebeast, the collection and its campaign combine “fun and formality, bravado and sensuality, baroque and pop aesthetics.”
“I love these images of Mark and Ivan. Since the ’90s, they have defined what it means to be strong, sexy, sensitive, and caring. They are true Versace men – they are not afraid to express themselves through clothing and friendship through the intimacy of relationships,” said Donatella Versace.
In addition to Vanderloo and De Pineda, Ottawa Kwami, Anthony Thomason and Mark Vanderloo Jr. participated in the photo shoot. They featured fitted tops, cardigans, blazers, wide leg pants and Versace Allover-inspired accessories.
Earlier, British actress Lily James became the face of Versace’s advertising campaign. It was filmed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. In the photos, James appeared in a new look, with short bangs and blue-black hair.
