According to him, starting in 2022, the training programs for border guards provide for an increase in the hours of study of special military disciplines, which should form the practical knowledge and skills of trainees when operating in special conditions. This, in particular, concerns the involvement of border guards in repelling armed raids by a potential enemy, suppressing provocations at the border, as well as searching for and eliminating sabotage and reconnaissance groups. And also, as the head of the FSB Border Service noted, additional attention is being paid to the issues of individual fire and tactical training of employees, training in the use of modern weapons and equipment, camouflage and communications equipment, and techniques first AIDS. As well as the psychological stability of border guards in stressful situations.
In addition, the First Deputy Director of the FSB noted that the role of UAVs has increased in the protection of the Ukrainian section of the border, including obtaining proactive intelligence on the enemy.
“In this regard, we continue to increase the grouping of UAVs, develop tactics for their use in protecting the state border, and are also working on improving their tactical and technical characteristics,” Vladimir Kulishov said.
He also added that at present border guards pay great attention to countering enemy UAVs, including the development of effective means of combating them and their use by personnel of Border Service units.
