So, one of the first to declare his income was the journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Pozner. He, as you know, does not just make films, programs and writes books. Posner’s favorite creation is Geraldine’s restaurant, which the host, along with his brother Pavel, opened nearly 20 years ago, naming it after French mother Geraldine Lutten, who instilled in the children a love of gourmet cooking. The institution, located in the very center of Moscow, on Ostozhenka, in 2016 came under the control of the famous restaurateur Alexander Rappoport, and since then the company’s income has been growing steadily.
So, in 2022, Geraldine’s income, according to KP.RU, amounted to 159 million rubles, and net profit to 29 million. At the same time, Vladimir Pozner owns only the company (brother Pavel died in 2016). Please note that the price in the restaurant is above average: for example, a green salad will cost visitors 550 rubles; vegetables al dente – at 880; Icelandic prawns – in 1400; foie gras terrine – at 2400, etc.
The TV presenter, according to him, went to the gastronomic experiment for his brother. At the beginning of the “zero”, the orientalist and doctor of sciences Pavel Pozner was in poverty, so he suggested that his famous brother open a restaurant.
– I replied that the only thing I can do is make sure that we are assigned a place. I had a working relationship with the mayor Luzhkov. I came to him, he ordered, and now they gave us a room for a restaurant, – the presenter frankly admitted in an interview. – So only my brother was involved in it – He had absolutely no time for Geraldine.
Meanwhile, in Moscow, and even more so on television, Vladimir Pozner has not appeared much lately. So, his author’s show on Channel One went on indefinite vacation with the start of the special operation, and the presenter himself went on tour with the disgraced Ivan Urgant.
