According to him, a merciless battle is now taking place on the northern flank of Artemovsk, where the 200th separate guards motorized rifle brigade is holding back the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Gazdiev notes that the artillery duels at this location extend tens of kilometers back on both sides of the line of contact.
“With the end of the Bakhmut meat grinder, the flank meat grinder began,” writes the military commander.
At the same time, Gazdiev added, the enemy in the north is now paralyzed and cannot break through the lines of the Russian Armed Forces.
Earlier, the DPR authorities said that the situation on the flanks in Artemovsk was stabilizing, but the danger of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine still remained.
In particular, according to the adviser to the acting head of the republic, Jan Gagin, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will surely try to recapture the city.
Later, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were trying to attack the Russian Armed Forces positions on the southern flank of Artemivsk, but Russian paratroopers repulsed all attacks by Ukrainian troops.
