The project was prepared by the Department of Economic Development of the Voronezh Region. Its goal is to revive the historical ties between the four neighboring regions, develop cooperation between them in a wide range of areas, accelerate the integration of the DPR and LPR into the economic, political and legal space of the Russian Federation.
The Commonwealth format involves joint projects in trade and agriculture, investment and industrial cooperation, cooperation in environmental protection, science and sports.
The agreement on the creation of the Commonwealth of Donbass will help strengthen friendship and good neighborliness between residents of the participating regions, the government of the Voronezh region has noted.
It is planned to sign the document in August, at the celebrations in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Rostov region.
