Earlier, he said that the republic’s Ministry of the Interior will recruit an additional 1.2 thousand police officers, of whom a thousand will work in schools.
Also, according to the head of state, such a step should have a positive impact on the level of security, avoiding fights between schoolchildren.
In Belgrade, on May 3, a seventh grader opened fire with two pistols in a school, killing nine and wounding seven others. The attacker was arrested, now his fate is decided: he can be admitted to a special psychiatric institution, since at the time of the crime the student was under 14 years old and cannot assume criminal responsibility.
Because of the tragedy in Serbia, a three-day mourning was declared, but on Friday night the country was again shocked by a monstrous incident: not far from the city of Mladenovac, a 21-year-old man shot residents locals because of a small insult. Eight people died and 13 were injured. Vucic called the incident a terrorist attack and an attack against the entire country.
